Random Photos Of Six Flags Magic Mountain

By on 01/06/2011

It was a nice today so I thought I would go grab a couple of photos of Six Flags Magic Mountain. Since they were closed, I started looking for a new vantage point outside the park that I could use. Since the park is surrounded by hills, it’s hard to find a unique perspective that hasn’t already been used a million times. I found a spot on a hill somewhat behind the park that provided angles that I hadn’t seem before. Unfortunately, most of the park is still hidden behind another hill, but I did manage to get a couple of shots of the tops of some well known favorites.

The Sky Tower observation deck as seen from the southwest:

The Sky Tower and the tops of the freshly painted Superman: Escape From Krypton and Tatsu:

The lift hill and first drop of X2:

A double dose of fun on Viper:

The lift hill and first drop of Goliath as seen from the South side of I-5 for a change:

Nothing really special about these photos, but it’s been a slow couple of days around the park and I felt like posting something.

The new paint that they put on all the rides seems to be holding up so much better then previously. That includes the Batman, Goliath, Deja Vu, Ninja, Viper, and X2 paint. Tatsu, Scream, and Riddler’s are so faded though. Superman looks great in its new colors as well.

I agree. It seems as if they’ve used a higher quality paint for the last couple of paint jobs. I’m sure it’s more expensive but it’s probably worth it in the long run with how hot it gets here in the summer.
