Six Flags Magic Mountain Little Flash Construction Update
The other day I posted some pictures of Viking Demolition trucks heading into Six Flags Magic Mountain. As promised, I made my way over to the park today and it appears that the work is indeed for the upcoming Little Flash coaster being installed. I took the following pictures of the work in progress.
Here is a picture of one of the last remaining pieces of the Yosemite Sam Sierra Falls ride that Little Flash is replacing:
Here is the connection to the trucks I saw entering the park and this project:
Here is a wide shot showing a lot of the demolition that has been done so far on the previous site of Sierra Falls. Lots and lots of concrete being torn up:
That’s a lot of twisted rebar:
Here’s another perspective of the piles of rebar and the old Sierra Falls station in the background:
Looking to the side, you can see lots of earth being dug up and moved around as well:
Even though it’s a junior coaster, and a used one at that, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I can’t wait for this project to be done. It’s nice to get new rides for coaster junkies in training. 🙂
