Lecter’s Slaughterhouse Is Gone At Six Flags Magic Mountain

By on 02/28/2011

For those brave enough to attend Six Flags Magic Mountain’s annual Fright Fest, you are no doubt aware of Lecter’s Slaughterhouse. It was one of the scare mazes that featured a family-run business that specialized in tasty human treats. The building facade that provided the backdrop for this annual event also just happens to face the area that will house the new Green Lantern: First Flight roller coaster. As you can see from the following photo, the slaughterhouse sign is gone:

I’m not very well versed in my Green Lantern knowledge, but I can only assume that these old building fronts do not necessarily play into the Green Lantern theme. Since they completely wrap around where the roller coaster is being installed, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that they are starting to spruce up the area so that it fits better with the Green Lantern theme. As you can see from the following photos, all of the footings are in place and ready to have the superstructure attached. It won’t be very long before we start to see some vertical construction taking place:

I have no idea what this machine does with regards to the installation of the coaster, but I do know that I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of it when it’s doing its thing:
