JB’s Smokehouse Barbeque Opens At Six Flags Magic Mountain

By on 04/26/2011

A couple of months ago, I reported that Six Flags Magic Mountain had planned to add a new BBQ restaurant to the park called JB’s Smokehouse Barbeque. This was a restaurant they had tried at a couple of their other parks last year and had great success with. The restaurant that had previously occupied this location, called Longhorn’s, just happened to also be a BBQ restaurant, but it was a partnership with a local company that unfortunately went out of business due to the economy. I am glad to report that JB’s Smokehouse Barbeque is now open for business and the guests of Six Flags Magic Mountain will once again have a mouthwatering BBQ joint to eat at. Here is a photo of the new branding applied to the existing building:

Wanting to create more of an experience than just another restaurant, Six Flags has setup a large smoker out front where the park guests can not only see the meat being prepared, but they can also smell it. And it smelled good! I had arrived at the park right at opening and with a full stomach when I took these photos, and I wasn’t there long enough to eat lunch, so I’ll have to report back later on the menu selection, prices, and quality of the food.

As seen from above, the new JB’s Smokehouse Barbeque looks very nice. There is plenty of outdoor seating and Six Flags has installed all new shade umbrellas at each table, just in time for the hot summer months ahead:

They should also create a small indoor/outdoor stage with some country music to continue the theming and experience.
