Beyond the thrills of the world’s largest collection of roller coasters, the excitement from a variety of flat rides, and the challenge of a large collection of midway games, Six Flags Magic Mountain has several other ways to entertain you during your visit as well. Here are some of the entertainment acts that have been lined up for the 2012 season:

Character Meet & Greets

Six Flags Magic Mountain Looney TunesThere are three different locations within the park that you can meet and have your photo taken with your favorite DC Comics superhero or Looney Tunes character. Within the first hour of the park opening, you will usually find representatives from both groups hanging out just inside the main gate. At various times from noon until the close of the park, you will find different Looney Tunes characters hanging out at the special character photo spot next to Wascal’s restaurant. Look for the DC Comics characters to be hanging out at the photo spot located near the entrance to DC Universe. Look for the Character Meet & Greet camera logo on the park map for the precise photo locations.

Looney Tunes Beach Bash Celebration

Six Flags Magic Mountain Looney Tunes Beach BashCatch a wave with Bugs Bunny and his friends as they surf their way from DC Universe all the way over to Goliath Plaza. There’s a lot of great music, there’s a lot of dancing, and there’s just an awful lot of fun. Don’t be afraid to show Tweety how you can shake your tail feather. This is one summer beach party you won’t want to miss.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Warner Bros Kids ClubThere are a couple of different shows offered this year to keep everyone entertained. The first is Warner Bros. Kids’ Club, located on the edge of the Six Flags Plaza. Bugs Bunny is the Club President and he gets people from the audience up on stage and involved with the act. My Generation is a laser and light show located in the Magic Moments Theater and set to music from the 80’s to the present. Lastly, the High Sierra Hypnotist in the Golden Bear Theater will make you laugh until you cry as he hypnotizes and leads volunteers from the audience through hilarious scenarios.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Stilt WalkerYou never know what you’re going to find as you walk the park’s midways. There are always a variety of street performers and artists walking around, like singers, stilt walkers, and strolling musicians, ready to entertain you. Look for, or rather keep an ear out for, the musical talents of Harbor Lights and Perfect 6 as you roam around.

Rhythm of the Night

On Saturday and Sunday evenings, from June 16th through August 18th, join Bugs Bunny and his friends in the Six Flags Plaza for a magical and musical celebration of color and light to end your day in the park.

Have you ever seen the Rhythm of the Night? I never stayed around to watch it last summer. Is it any good?

its actually really cool! they take the parade from the beach bash but trick it out with lights, and they basically bring all their entertainment together for one grand finale. The stilt walkers do some pretty impressive dances on stilts, and they end with a bang with fireworks launching off the top of valencia falls. Its actually really cool, I applaude them for this show.

They should start using the theater by Colossus for shows, like Knott’s has shows! But they could get away with setting their shows at an up charge.

That theater by Colossus is the Magic Moments Theater.

I see what you mean, though, but that theater doesn’t seem to have half the room the Charles M. Schulz Theatre at Knott’s does.

Magic Mountain tends to run a show for two years, it just happens that the current show is a bit simpler than some of the others which have played at Magic Moments.

I’d suggest more shows at the Action Sports Theater, but the place is a mess, almost like the world has ended in there…

Last time I was at Magic Mountain, I went up to the Sky Tower to look at the view, saw the Action Sports Theater and thought to myself, “So my room isn’t as messy as I thought!”

I wonder why Suzy Haner isn’t listed? I know she is back this year.

Please ignore this comment, I didn’t fully read the passage.

The Justice League are never at their photo spot (it’s in direct sunlight). They’re usually closer to First Aid or directly under the arch. If in doubt, look for shade (same goes for the Toons).

Unless it’s Aquaman. Then he’s behind you, about to berate you for purchasing soda instead of water.

This is off-topic, but do you think that the Lex Luthor and Superman cars will be dispatching simultaneously or do you think that only one ride will be allowed on the tower at a time?

    • Zac

together! Thats part of the thrill of lex luthor. I bet when they do the opening ceremony they will take ll:dod to the the top and and right as ll:dod is falling they will launch superman and fire confetti launchers, it’ll make for some great photos

    Hi Kurt,

Long time reader and admirer of your website.

Love your trip reports and LL:DOD construction updates…

Anyway, a bit off topic, but I was discussing the new ride rumours but couldn’t agree on the location…. I know the general view is that this ride would be in the location of log-jammer, but I remember that deja-vu and thrill shot were removed and there is quite a bit of room over on that side of the park, plus room behind Apocalypse /Riddlers
I was wandering if you had an accurate photo (google earth birds-eye view type) and/or some photos from the sky tower that you could share?
Or maybe even educate us on the actual park boundaries etc…

I know its all speculation at the moment, but its intriguing speculation nevertheless!

Thanks again for the terrific website!
