Six Flags Fright Fest

Six Flags Magic Mountain kicks off their Fright Fest 2012 activities this coming weekend. Over the last few days, they have been releasing some really well produced videos advertising the event, including teasers for their three new mazes. I’ve aggregated all of the videos here in case you haven’t seen them yet. Every video was provided by Six Flags Magic Mountain.

This first one is a generic Fright Fest video, but I’m kind of partial to it because I’m actually in the Goliath coaster you see lit up at night:

The most anticipated haunt maze this year, at least in my opinion, is the completely new Willoughby’s Resurrected. They gutted the former Willoughby’s Haunted Mansion maze and rebuilt it from the ground up. I’m very excited to see what they have in store for us:

Another new maze this year is Black Widow. It takes the place of the former Bite II maze:

The third brand new maze this year is called Blackout. This maze replaces Warehouse 13 from last year. Still located in the former Log Jammer queue, this maze had plywood walls built to create a completely enclosed, and blacked out space that you must navigate through. Unless they are able to relocate this maze next year, it’s a one-time deal. This entire area will be transformed into the new Full Throttle roller coaster as soon as Fright Fest is over:

This video highlights the new Fright Feast dining option with the Willoughby’s:

After a hugely successful debut in 2011, The Aftermath is a maze you won’t want to miss:

I’ve never actually been through the Chupacabra maze, but I’ll be checking it out this year:

This next “Thrills By Day, Fright By Night” video is extremely well done:

It wouldn’t be Fright Fest without running Colossus backwards:

Here is a video that combines all of the new mazes for 2012:
