going to be an awesome season! lets just take some time to admire that with full throttle we are recieving something new in every department: new retail store, 2 new food locations, new games, a new entertianment venue, and a new attraction! keep it going SFMM!

At one point, the maps had gotten so cartoony looking that they were almost useless. Coasters appeared to be taller than the Sky Tower and way out of proportion. Then they did a complete makeover which made the map look very much to scale, not unlike the 1971 map (which I have a copy of).

It looks like things are getting cartoony again…

It looks the same as it has been since 2009 with the exception of Slingshot, Full Throttle, and everything else that has changed since ’09.

I don’t get that sense at all. I really like the current maps and think they do a good job at showing where everything is.

where did they announce the 2013 maps?

They didn’t announce them. They’re now available inside the park.

Where is Valencia falls? Is it the water fountain?

      I think so.

Yes, it’s the water cascading down the hillside behind the fountain in the Six Flags Plaza.

Full Throttle is taller than Goliath, as tall as the Sky Tower, and the ride does not go over Superman plaza in the map.

The map isn’t supposed to be very accurate. The map’s purpose is to guide people to the park’s attractions.

Plus, Full Throttle is exaggerated since it is the new ride like how X2 was exaggerated in the maps in the early 2000s.

The map is definitely not drawn to scale. Like XYZ said, it’s just to get you to where you want to go. The Full Throttle launch doesn’t go into the vertical loop, the tunnel is in the wrong spot, etc. You could nitpick little things all day, but it wasn’t meant to be perfect.

It’s a friggin’ map that none of us vets need anyways.. Who cares how cartoony it looks, it gets the job done right?
