Michael Turco’s Magic And Mayhem Magic Show

By on 07/14/2014

If you’re looking for a way to cool down from the hot summer sun at Six Flags Magic Mountain, you certainly can’t go wrong with the Magic and Mayhem magic show. Featuring the talents of master illusionist and magician Michael Turco, the Magic and Mayhem show is nothing short of world-class entertainment, performed right in front of your eyes in the Magic Moments Theater.

Performing since the age of seven, Michael Turco is truly a master of his craft. He has performed on stages across the globe and was the headlining act at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas last year with Michael Turco’s Magic & Mayhem show. You might have even seen him on TV a few years ago when he performed on America’s Got Talent and blew the judges away.

The Magic and Mayhem show is held three times a day, five days a week, in the Magic Moments Theater, near the entrance to DC Universe:

The air conditioning works extremely well and it’s a great place to cool down. You might want to arrive a little early as a line does start to form about 15 minutes before showtime.

Once inside, there is open seating with a pretty decent view no matter where you sit. There is also a slide show and music to keep you entertained while you wait for the show to begin:

There’s no cameras or video recording allowed during the show, and I don’t feel that words can adequately describe it, or do it justice, so I won’t try. Suffice it to say that the next 30 minutes were packed with music, dancing, and mind-blowing magic and illusions. You must see it to believe it. Or, in this case, see it and still don’t believe it!

One picture from the show that I can share with you is a 1989 Lamborghini Countach that he made appear on the stage out of thin air. This is my all-time favorite exotic sports car. I used to have pictures of it on my bedroom wall when I was in high school. This car is 25 years old and still looks like it’s from the future:

After the show, Michael, his assistants, and the dancers make themselves available for a meet & greet by the exit door. You can even get their autographs and take pictures with them if you like:

Michael is even happy to show kids how his magic wand trick from the show is performed:

The Magic and Mayhem show at Six Flags Magic Mountain ends on August 17th, so make sure you get over to see it before it’s too late. The following week, Michael starts a magic tour to promote an upcoming television show he’s a part of called Masters of Illusion. The show starts to air in August 2014 on CW, and Michael is in a few of the episodes, so be sure to check him out there as well.

Michael will be returning to Six Flags Magic Mountain in October for another Fright Fest dinner special like he did last year with the Willoughby’s. And like any good magician, he might even have something up his sleeve for VooDoo nights. We’ll just have to wait and see.

On a related note, I had a great interview with Michael last October. I just went back to review that post, but it wasn’t there. I’m not sure what happened to it, but I’ll try and put another one together. Some of that interview would be outdated now, like the upcoming shows he had scheduled at the time, so perhaps I’ll have to sit down with him again for another interview. Expect my call, Michael!
