Neal Thurman Named New President Of Six Flags Fiesta Texas

By on 09/12/2014

Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Director of Operations, Neal Thurman, was just named the new Park President of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Martin Bozer, the current Park President of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, will be retiring after Fright Fest. Mr. Bozer started his Six Flags career in 1983, at Six Flags Great America, serving the company in a variety of roles for over 30 years.

Mr. Thurman was a Supervisor for over five years at Six Flags Over Georgia starting in 1998. He then spent over four years in Park Operations at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, eventually becoming their Director of Park Operations. In 2007, he moved to Six Flags Magic Mountain as the Director of Park Operations, where he has been ever since.

If you’ve ever spent much time hanging out at Six Flags Magic Mountain, or attended any of their events, you have probably seen Mr. Thurman whether you realized it or not. He is regularly in the park, checking on operations and mingling with guests. Here he is with Six Flags Magic Mountain Park President, Bonnie Rabjohn, at one of their ride openings:

Here he is unveiling the details of the 2014 Fright Fest in the Magic Moments Theater:

Neal is one heck of a nice guy, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas is getting a real gem. I know they’ll appreciate him. I know I’ll miss seeing Neal in the park when I go to Magic Mountain. He has always been very friendly to me. In fact, he even took a picture of me sitting in my seat on Colossus for my last two rides on August 17. Wishing you the best of luck, Neal. 🙂

Very cool guy, and a really bright spot for SFMM from the Jay Thomas era. He’ll be great for Texas. I wonder who will replace him at the Mountain?

I’m afraid if I apply I will be hired on the spot as I am legally blind! 🙂

Hey guys! I have a question. Does anyone anyone know if Six Flags will take submitted ideas for a ride? I had a great idea for Full Throttle during Fight Fest, and I was really hoping that there was a way to send in your ideas.
    Thanks!
