Crazanity Construction Update #4 at Six Flags Magic Mountain

By on 06/27/2018

I heard through the grapevine that the construction walls around the Crazanity build at Six Flags Magic Mountain were down, so I headed over there a couple of days ago to check it out. There wasn’t any construction activity going on while I was there, but you can definitely see a lot more of the new ride now.

It’s hard to miss the new ride simply due to the sheer of it size as you walk towards the new Boardwalk area of the park:

The new paint and shade coverings in the Boardwalk area look great:

I don’t recall if these were here before, but I sure don’t remember ever seeing them. These are some nice embellishments on the side of the Boardwalk games booths:

The Johnny Rockets sign is down. I’m not sure if that’s because they were painting the building, they’re getting a new sign, or they’re changing the brand. I haven’t heard anything about a brand change, so I’m sure it just has to do with the painting they’re doing:

The pictures don’t do it justice, but the Crazanity ride is huge:

This thing is covered in lights from head to toe. It should look amazing at night:

The closer you get, the bigger it seems:

There’s a lot of new midway out front, so crowding shouldn’t be an issue:

It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the extra space on the side:

The station isn’t anything to write home about, but at least it’s covered to provide shade. It was in the process of being painted when I was there:

The entrance path will start on the far side, by the bumper cars:

Lots of extra space on the bumper car side as well:

Last but not least, the new bar going in on the other side of Johnny Rockets has made a little progress, but still has a long ways to go:

Here’s a video the park posted recently showing the ride going vertical:
