Percy’s Railway Gets A New Name At Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags Magic Mountain finally tipped its hand today and revealed what the new name will be for the kiddie roller coaster previously known as Percy’s Railway. New signage visible to the public today shows that the new name is Magic Flyer:

The safety sign just to the right still has the ride listed as Percy’s Railway, but I’m sure that will be updated eventually.

The ride is located in an area of the park formerly known as Thomas Town, which was themed off of Thomas the Tank Engine. When Six Flags dropped the licensing rights to use Thomas, everything in this area had to be re-themed. It still has an overall train theme, but is now called Whistlestop Park:

The area pretty much looks like it’s ready to open back up to the public. They were even testing the kids splash area today:

I’m afraid I don’t know what this is. If you can provide me some background, I’ll be more than happy to investigate.
