
There have been a few signs of activity on the installation of the Road Runner Express roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain this past week. First of all, there have been some large boulders placed outside of what will likely be the queuing area. This is presumably part of a desert scene that we would expect with a Road Runner theme:

The boulders continue past the queue and extend down the fence line. You can also see that parts of the fence have recently been replaced, most likely to shore it up a bit. I’m guessing this will eventually be a path that leads to the loading area for the ride:

There was a large trencher digging trench lines throughout the site:

Electrical conduit and work boxes from an electrical contractor mean that the freshly dug trenches won’t be empty for long:

All the footings are complete, and in all shapes and sizes. Big squares, little squares, circles, etc:

At first glance, I thought this was a delivery from Acme to Wile E. Coyote. On closer inspection, it looks like a pallet of paver bricks looking for a new home. I think there were two of these sitting on the site:
