The Travel Channel will soon be airing a new game show starring Bert Kreischer, better known as Bert the Conqueror, called Scream: If You Know The Answer. The contestants will be challenged by Bert with trivia questions and mind games, all while riding a roller coaster. I believe it’s an American version of a British show of the same name. The show will be filmed at Six Flags Magic Mountain and they have been actively recruiting potential contestants from within the park. There is a table setup in front of Studio 6F, on the backside of the park, where you can fill out an application to be on the show. But you better hurry, because according to their sign they are going to start shooting on Monday:

I suspect they will be taking applications all day tomorrow, but I’m just guessing. There weren’t too many people stopping by the table. I almost walked right past it myself, not knowing what it was. Although I would have loved to, I did not personally apply for the show because I am not able to make myself available for the full two days they require for the filming.
As I continued through the park, I noticed a bunch of activity inside and around the Whistlestop Park gift shop. As I approached, it was obvious that the gift shop was long gone. When I asked what was going on, I was informed that they are using it as the temporary production offices for the show while it’s being filmed in the park. While I know they have to work somewhere, I think it’s odd they chose the very middle of one of the children’s areas. I feel sorry for all the little kids coming in to ride the trains and they have all these production type people coming and going.
The show is being produced by Lion Television and you can read more about it here.

I wonder if it will similar to Cartoon Network’s “Brain Rush”, which was filmed at Knotts Berry Farm, using two of their coasters. Xcelerator and Silver Bullet. It first aired June 20, 2009, and lasted a few months before it was canceled. I wonder which coasters at SFMM they will use for this game show.
That was my exact thought when I first heard about it. Sounds very similar.
OH SO this is the TV show who ruined my Thursday evening and Friday morning when I was at vacation with my dad. I SO wish I knew this before.
Oh if you want to know the rides they did, I know 2 rides they filmed at, Riddler’s Revenge and X2. This should answer both of your questions.
On June 9th, 4:11 PM PDT, they filmed their “show” at Riddler’s Revenge. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE was mad since there was no notice what-so-ever. A lady who was on the ride still (there was 2 cars running by the way) was pissed and she wanted free tickets cuz of that. It took them 20 minutes (I’m exaggerating, but that’s how it felt like) to prepare and film their show. When I saw them done, as they were exiting, I yelled at “NOW GET OUT OF HERE”
Overall, it took me 45 minutes total with the normal wait + the TV show filming.
The next day, June 10th, around opening, they were filming again. I was “Oh boy =n=” but they were filming at X2, so my dad and I were screwed, Riddler’s Revenge wasn’t running and every other rides were packed, we only got on Revolution and we have to leave so we can get to LAX early.
=.= My dad and I are so going to give SFMM a good survey…../endbeingsarcastic
deja vu as well, the ride was closed till 1:00 because of them
Today june 17 they were filming at tatsu it was so cool there camera equipment and crew but no bert when i was on the ride or in line
Where can i apply for the game show?
They were accepting applications in the park the week before filming began.
