Six Flags Season Dining Pass Overview

The Six Flags Season Dining Pass is a brand new offering for 2013. It’s a paid upgrade to your regular Six Flags season pass that provides a lunch and dinner meal for every trip you make to the park throughout the entire year. Once you pay for the season dining pass, you never need to worry about taking extra money with you to the park for food because your meals will already be taken care of for the day.

The program is actually quite simple. You purchase a Six Flags season dining pass at either the front gate ticket booth or online. I chose to purchase mine online so I didn’t have to wait in line at the ticket booth. Each Six Flags park has a different price for the pass. At my home park, Six Flags Magic Mountain, it costs $99.99 plus tax:

Once the transaction was complete, I printed my voucher and took it to the park with me. If you choose to purchase the season dining pass at the park, they will give you a printed voucher. You then take your voucher to the season pass processing center. If you bought your Six Flags season pass and Six Flags season dining pass at the same time, they will process them together and give you your new card. If you already have a Six Flags season pass, they’ll take your old card from you and hand you a new one with the ‘Dining’ option added:

For the rest of the year, every time you have your card scanned at the main gate, you will receive two dining credits for the day. The lunch credit is valid from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. The dinner credit is valid from 4:30-7:30 pm, or park close, whichever is earlier. If you don’t enter the park until after 3:30 pm, you will only receive the dinner credit.

To receive a meal, simply visit one of the participating food locations and choose an eligible item from the menu. The menu boards have been updated to make it easier for customers to see which food options are available with the Six Flags season dining pass:

I felt like having some BBQ to break in my season dining pass, so I headed over to JB’s Smokehouse BBQ. The menu there is a little different, but they still made it really easy to see which meals were available through the season dining pass:

Once you make your selection, just hand the cashier your season pass and they’ll scan it, deducting your dining credit for that meal. There is absolutely no cost to you. I chose the BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich. It came with kettle chips and it was pretty tasty:

There are no drinks included with the dining pass, but you have a couple of options. Of course, you can simply buy a drink at full retail. You could also buy a souvenir Six Flags bottle and get refills all season long for only $0.99 each. If you ask, you can also get a free cup of water, which is what I chose to do.

If you visit the park as often as I do, then this dining pass is a no brainer. Even if you visit as little as four time a year, you’ll still be money ahead. My meal above normally goes for roughly $15. Add another $15 for dinner and that’s $30 for just one day. After four visits, that would br $120, but with the season dining pass you’re already saving money.

Each Six Flags season dining pass is only valid at the park it was purchased for. Check the Six Flags web site to see how much the season dining pass is and which food locations are participating in the program at your local park.
